MISSION

It is the mission of the Pickens County Roads and Bridges Department to maintain the County roads and construct necessary bridges on these roads. Road Maintenance activities will be performed such as patching potholes, cleaning ditches and culverts to allow proper water drainage. The shoulders of the roads will be shaved to prevent ponding of water on the roadways. The vegetation along the right of way of the road will be mowed and the tree limbs will be cut back. New culverts will be installed and failing culverts will be replaced. Road signage on County roads is the responsibility of the Roads and Bridges Department, as well as litter pick up on State and County roads, with the exception of areas within City Limits.
